  5. Looks mad bro!!! Beautiful work. I'll have that special finishing touch done for you v soon
  6. Thanks boys
  7. Outstanding, brother. Totally fo' shiz OUTSTANDING.
  8. Just taking a little break between builds after pouring all my creative energy into this... ...so the Cobra's just sitting patiently in its shabby ol' survivor state waiting for my build mojo to be fully juiced again and for the design ideas to start to crystalise Not that it ever really takes long haha...
  9. Rad build Siz!! Love something that's a little different, and love the white/black/silver colour combo. I've been thinking of a similar combo for my Cobra (TK/Pro-Star A-Series) ...either that or white/black/gold.... or if I'm feeling daring (and wealthy, haha) an HLT-esque smoked chrome. Anyway, seriously nice work! Congrats
  10. Just weighed my TK frame and matching Koizumi forks (nb. the Koizumi forks are the ones that came out with the Centurion Force and TBC Cobra release, as opposed to the Tange forks that were released with the DB TK... but I thought the Koizumi fork weight would still be interesting to note up here.) In the interest of any surface treatment weight discrepancy: The forks are currently stripped back to bare metal and the frame still carries its OG paint. 1980 Koizumi DB TK/Centurion Force/TBC Cobra frame (serial #0D0261⚾) : 2.55 kg forks (serial #⚾ 0DT): 0.70 kg Total : 3.25 kg I also have a friend who has an '84 Pacer 500 frame that she's keen to get me to build up for her... so if that goes ahead I'll be sure to post the weight up here before I build it up too.
  11. I was just thinking the same thing earlier today. It'd be rad to see some more stats in here! Anyone?
  12. Looks great Sparky! Awesome idea
  13. Awesome, very nice work! Do you reckon we should also note the finish on each frame weighed (ie. chrome, powder, paint or bare ...would it effect the total much?), or is that getting too pedantic? haha Thanks heaps for the 1980 pro weight - I can add that to my list of well, everything(!), that makes my '79 Koizumi frame (only with a round gusset hole where the diamond should be) identical to the Large Pro. That's my comparison stat sheet pretty much complete! Yay! Aside from that particular personal point of interest, it's going to be great to see the list of frame weights grow, and see how they changed with time, and with the different models.
  14. Awesome! Thanks guys. Hopefully the weights will be a cool addition to the DB fact database! Really looking forward to seeing how they all come in (especially your Large Pro, Intense! ).
  15. Had a quick check in the reference section, couldn't see any mention of frame weights around the place, so hopefully I'm not creating a double up with this thread. Thought it could be interesting to document the weights of some of the DB frames and or f/f combos. I'm always interested in how frame weight, and total build weight effects the feel of the bike on the track. To kick it off, I'm hoping someone might have a Large Pro frame (preferably 79 or 80) that they could weigh? (weight of the frame only, no parts, headset or forks incl.) Doing some comparisons and I'd be super grateful if someone could help me out
