  1. Cheers for the info Dusty.........
  2. Were ther different models of the Evil Knievel bike ?.... I have this decal set that look to be original and are of a gloss / metallic print
  3. Lock on grips and Pitbull cam pull brakes, theres a can of worms waiting to be opened...... Bring yourself some side pull brakes and some slip on grips or better still change them over now. If it was anything like the nightmare we had in Cairns two years ago.................... change them over....
  4. Serial number = March 1990
  5. TAJG mini with a short angle rear. Not sure on whats going on with the two stays under the rear chainstays to bottom bracket (they are not original) Enjoy your build GUS
  6. Can anyone tell me if you can still purchase Bullseye hubs here in Aust. I have tried the Cycle Australia website but it's not working. Any info would be appreciated Cheers, GUS............

  8. Skinny was the man that arranged for myself to be the Old School representative for and Qld and with some talking to the appropriate people (Paul Connors)and BMXQ we had the class added this year at the titles in Bundy.......... I was also told that it will be contiued next year in Cairns........ Sadly Paul Connors does not hold his position anymore in BMXQ,but the show will still go on. Cheers,GUS...
  9. Hi all, At the recent Retro Grands at Macarthur I put the word out over the microphone about organising a similar set up in QLD. There seemed to be some good feedback and alot of people keen. I just want to put the word out about this and see how many people would actually be keen to come to an event like this in QLD. We are wanting to hold this event at the Gold Coast due to the fact that it is close to a Airport (Coolangatta)and would be a great spot for riders to bring their families also (Scenery, fun parks,surf/beaches,shopping,Gold Coast in general).A perfect spot for if the wife and kids want to come up for the weekend but dont want to watch you race, they can hang out down the beach or the shops. We are in talks at the moment with the Ashmore BMX Club to accomodate this event,at this stage we have a date of the 28th JULY.The race would be ran with the Ashmore's BMX Club open day. Ashmore has a great track and heaps of room also which means we could arrange a mini show and swap on the day. It would be good to hear from some of the riders and or general Old School lovers what they think about this.Obviously without a keen intrest this would not go ahead,so let us know what you think and dont forget it's on the Gold Coast so the wife would be as keen as to get away for the weekend. At the recent Retro Grands we had 10 Qlder's make the journey down to Macarthur and it would have to be one of the best Old School weekends I have done.(By the way,I think Qld took home most of the #1 plates, great opportunity to take some back down south). After I have found what sort of interest we have in this I will put the word out for some people/local business's to back it.(I have heard that a couple of people/business's are keen). Let me know and lets get this happening. Cheers,GUS.....
