  3. Hi Everyone, Had this Speedwell Sting MKII frame and Tange TX-1200 Champion fork for many years, and now they've got to go. I bought these new as a complete bike and are unridden, though they have a few storage marks on them, also they have the original washer marks on the dropouts. The headset is a Tange MX 2, with the gold spacer/lock washer. Included are the original dropout washers also. Frame serial number 125539. Forgive me for the crummy photos. Not sure, but I think these frames were also used on the Supermax, so you could get a star and some stickers and Nicole will be jealous! I am after $260 for the lot, can post at buyers expense. I would prefer cash on pickup, but will take Paypal for an extra $10. I am located in western Sydney. Dibs + pm. Thanks Calvin.

  9. First Post I found this Tange Hot Heart on a council cleanup pile on the weekend while I was walking the dogs! At first I didn't know what it was but the name Tange had a childhood memory, so I grabbed it and instantly knew it was no Kmart Bike. I am stoked at the find but it has raised a couple of question marks. firstly there is no heart. I know that they get milled out so that is possible but secondly the serial starts with a JXXXX. not the usual TXXXX It all looks pretty legit otherwise and has a stack of Tange goodies / and the decals all look legit too. Can anyone here shed some light on this frame? I have taken heaps of pictures. (probably too many ) Tonight im going to pull the crank and the forks to see if that reveals more. would I expect to find any markings in there on a tange? Im also interested in any info on the Rims and Hubs, I asked a few questions on this bike over at BMX Museum but the Jury is out on the frame, some think Kuwahara KZ-1, and I can see the similarities but those heart decals seem original to me... There seems to be heaps of Tange knowledge on this forum so any help will be greatly appreciated. Im hoping its real, if so it will be my first build. Cheers Pete What Hubs do I have here?
  10. Hey guys - need some help ID-ing a frame that is supposed to be a Redline. By the dropouts I don't think it is - but I can't match them to any other bike. The forks look like Tange and the frame has a Redline mini-neck stem, which I think is why the seller thinks its a Redline. The serial number is a weird one: F5103818 - the first 3 numbers match the info on the museum for a Redline PL-24: 510537 Unknown Year, Redline PL-24 (CS bridge) That would put it at mid-90s. But the frame is carrying 20" forks and a mini-neck stem (which isn't mid-90s), so I think this must just be a coincidence. I then thought it might be a Raleigh Aero Burner from the UK, which carried Tange forks, but the dropouts are different. Any ideas at all?
  11. Before I start: I know these topics have caused a stir recently and yes I have searched around the net a bit myself but I know a lot of peeps here are VERY cluey and can pick a lot of things by eye. I know of some of the parts but not of there origins. Thanks in advance.. I am asking to pick the brains of fellow forum users.. I would like to find info on a bike that I have no idea about as this is not something I normally dabble in but I took a gamble. I am a mid/new school race/dirt jump person and previously sold off everything that was old and not my scene but lately the thought of some older builds intrigue me. 1: I am trying to work out what frame/fork it is ? 2: I am also wondering what bikes some of these parts would have originally been on and there signifigance ? If the frame turns out to be nothing special I might make it look like a new bike anyway, part it out and use the parts on other builds or scrap my ideas all together and sell it all off. The pics will help but here's the run down of a quick visual and probe. Frame/forks: unknown and the serial number under the bottom bracket is 23115380, the forks are stamped "Tange" 1H made in japan. The frame has had a few colours done on it but after some scraping I have found there was chrome backed stickers originally on the frame (cant make out what is on them sadly). It also has flat sections before the drop outs. Bars: big random ones but come with the originals also Brakes/ Lever: unmarked brakes and lever stamped "dia-compe" forged 22 Headset: stamped YST 22.2 Stem: Polygon (gold underneath) Cranks: Stamped "SR" and also has 81, 9, 127 Pedals: blue cagedKKT Lightning Seat: bikeway aero Rims: no idea I also picked up other parts including Ukai rims, Suzue forged hub (front high flange), mint un stamped sealed red anno hubs (f + flip flop rear) and other hubs, forks, bars, sprockets, stems etc.

  13. I got this Hot Heart. Tange?/ Shimano, Team Supa Roo frame and TRX forks from Roo hunter a few months back, With heavily pitted chrome I had it stripped, which show that the pitting had gone into the metal so I sanded the frame down before handing it over to the powder coater. I'm not sure how it will come back after blasting but hopefully it shouldn't be too bad. Other Parts list so far: GT Pro bars 28"x10" Powdered same colour Tange Grips white Tioga Bear Trap II headset Black Dirt skirt Suntour Power stem Polished Tange seat clamp Shimnao DX brake levers, cable clips,Tourney Brakes Kuwahara layback seat post, Kashimax seat TRX decals Takagi 170mm crank, power disk, Shimano 45t chain ring, Tange sealed BB (may change to a Dura Ace 3pc set up if I can find 9/16 DX pedals) I would have liked to turn it into a Supa Roo Team build but finding decals is a pain.
  14. Hi all, I have this old bike and don't really know what it is. I'm planning on selling it soon, but need a better idea of what it is before I advertise it. Some of the parts on it are; Araya rims 20 x 1.75 Rampar seat Nagaoka seat post 22.2 KKT pedals MX brake levers Polygon goose neck Win handle bars Suntour seat clamp Tourney/Takagi cranks The serial number appears to be Y H 16499* or Y H 18499*. 16. Here we go I bought a pair of Tange grips off piratebay from (yes I know ) a dude in kuala lumpur, Malaysia! I took the risk considering they cost USD$22.02 Please tell me if these are fake or real? They are soft and pliable the embosed stars are not as pronounced as I expectected and the word tange has little inperfection. Sellers photos What I recieved
