  3. This one was a recent pick up as part of a bulk bunch of bikes I purchased (going to have to make some room). It's a completely original Apollo Mk2 Spitfire including semi-biodegrading vinyl pad set (missing top tube pad). A mix of Japanese and Taiwanese parts. Gold Araya's on Sunshine hubs are in great condition. There is one oddity. The Merida? serial seems to be slightly different to all the others on here (and other Merida made frames in fact). Check out the last photo - MA20 263 82. I assume its an 82, if anyone has any other info, i'd love to find out more. Thanks Brenton

  8. Has been a while since I started a new build thread but I have recently secured my jewell in the crown. As a part shop/ Apollo rider as a young fella, this brand has the most sentiment to me, it may not be the dearest and most sought after bikes, but these Tange built cromo beauties are a great bike. This one I scored when a fellow member contacted me via PM and offered it to me before it hit the chopping block. I would say this is quite a rare bird, there were not too many of these 24" models around. This build will hopefully be done for BMXPO, I have quite a few of the parts sitting waiting and a few more are in the post now after being restored by Benny. I will continue to add as it comes together. I hope that you enjoy. Here is a pic of the frame and forks that was sent to me for sale.

  11. Well like a lot of people on here I went in search of the bike that meant the most to me from back in the day. First ever bmx Crossrider Comet, have that frame for a future build, but that's not the one I mean. 2nd ever bmx Apollo MK111, have that frame for a future build too, but that's not the most important. So as the title reads, 82 Team Apollo, is the bike that meant the most to me back in the day. Here is mine bitd when I first got it me mucking around on the old Port Macquarie bmx track Racing on the old girl Build pics to follow.
  12. hi guys, I acquired this on the weekend. seen it in a pile of junk under a house and quickly snaffled it. The stickers had me thinking it was a Mongoose but the serial doesn't mate any mongoose stuff. Plus the sticker on the bb beside the serial says it was distributed by apollo. Being a spastic I only took 1 pic of the BB but will grab more tonight when I get home. The serial is: BA97RJ 039896 any assistance would be grouse!
