  1. 1982 Hattori Prosight 24" Cruiser Rare Hanabishi cranks. Tange Forks were nos. Robinson Cruiser bars were nos. Seat was nos. Fluted seat pole was nos. Diacompe cable clamps were nos. MX lever, Bulldog style brakes. Sugino style stem. Skyway tuffs. A little brake rub on the rear (white brakepads). NEW bb, bearings, headset, brake cable, seat clamp, black alloy sprocket nuts, chain, grips, Duro gumwall compIII pattern tyres, tubes, Wellgo platforms. There was some slight pitting on the bb under the old coat of paint. We have not hidden that when we restored this. This is a very honest and beautiful bike. The dropouts are sweet. The spider on the cranks chrome was ugly peeling so that was cleaned off. Will sell the frame, forks and cranks separately as a set as they belong together. $750. Complete $1100 I much prefer pick up from Gympie. Or I can meet you in Brisbane/Ipswich/Maryborough and in between. But by all means do come visit me for a look. I'll even let you touch my other stuff. Maybe even sell some of that too.
  2. 1982 Quicksilver 24

100% Survivor Quicksilver cruiser from 1982. At some point in it's life the tyres, seat and chainring were changed.
  3. Now that BMXPO 2016 is well behind me and showing this bird in its original state is done - it's time to get to restoring it to how I'd like it and as promised to the previous owner. Here's how it originally looked the day I picked it up. Not a lot changed for BMXPO. Added Cycle Pro Snake Bellies, Kashi Seat and OGK Grips. Last night I stripped down ready for cleaning. I'll save what I can, re-use where possible and re-finish if needed.

Time to let this one go to someone else.... RARE Voris Dixon built 24" Greg Hill Cruiser. Serial # 0684098 = June 1984 frame #98. Repowdered gloss black with NOS decals, not repro. No cracks or rewelds, but maintube has some dents as pictured. Padset covers them up nicely ... which is included (repro Cali Lite Johar padset SIGNED by GREG HILL HIMSELF) Rear dropouts have some crimping evident before powdering, and a slight pinch on the lower of the brake bridge. Forks are OG undrilled and the dropouts are very good with minimal wear. This was built up as a show bike and shows usual signs that indicate so. I didnt want to get anything repaired before powdering as i think it detracts from its uniqueness ... if i was going to repair it, personally i'd only let C4 labs touch it. This is advertised on Facebook as well ... $1200 posted. Also have a set of OG 80's Star Bars in Cruiser (expert) size in Black for $200 seperately OR $140 extra with Frame/Fork and Padset package.

  9. Morning Oz, Up for sale today is my 2014 SE Bikes PK Ripper 26. Unfortunately due to a recent purchase, this one has to go. The bike is 100% original (except the rear brake pads) and overall is in excellent condition. A light alloy frame which rides just like a 26 cruiser should. For the time I have owned and ridden, the original seat, pad set and reproduction Oakley B1B grips were put in storage, so all are almost as new. There's still plenty of like left on the original tyres too. If you want the full spec, it's still available on the SE Bikes website HERE > This bike has been a rider so couple of very minor things to note. The seat has a small mark on the top, probably clean off with soapy water, there are one or 2 very small scratches and scuffs on the frame I tried to capture the main one under the top tube near the seat tube and there is a little brake rub starting to appear on the blue anodised rim walls. Other than that it's a beautiful bike to ride. Price is $515 includes PP fees. Local pick-up from Willoughby 2068 NSW (weekends). Cash on pick-up is great and you'll get a $15 discount. For interstate buyers, I am happy to securely pack the bike into a bike box and organise depot to door or depot to depot shipping via ego - charged at cost. I recommend using e-go couriers, they have the most competitive pricing I can find anywhere, and I have shipped many bikes around Australia with them (as most of you probably have also). E-go offer discounted courier rates to suit all businesses. You can get a freight quote for delivery by e-go HERE > The dimensions of a regular bike box are: 130cm x 70cm x 25cm and weight is 16KG. I am happy to arrange the freight for you. PM me for a freight quote, make sure you include your SUBURB/TOWN and POSTCODE. Example freight quotes including insurance From Willoughby 2068 to Brisbane Metro - $60.00 From Willoughby 2068 to Melbourne Metro - $57.00 From Willoughby 2068 to Adelaide Metro - $70.00 Otherwise you can use your own courier company - you'll need to book and pay that for yourself. Dibs rules etc. This bike will also be put up on eBay tonight unless sold here prior. Start price will be higher to include ebay fees - so you will pay more there. If a bid goes on it will be removed from OZBMX. Thanks Brenton
  10. Hi Guys, I am currently rebuilding my Madison Cruiser and have a question. Is the Madison Terrain Cruiser the same as the Madison Goanna? Or were they two different bikes? Cheers, Brenton

  12. Looking to swap my 1980 Supergoose (originally a team frame) for a nice early 80s cruiser complete, or a nice frame/fork set. The good; Frame: 1980 team, chromed by Star Plating last year Forks: 82 Goose, re chromed by Star Plating last year Seat: Elina Bolt with guts Cranks: Tourney with Tagaki chainring (re-anno) Pedals: Shimano SX Stem: Suntour (re-anno) Seat Clamp: Suntour (re-anno) Brakes: Tourney 880 and pre-bent lever Rims: Araya 7x Hubs: Chair loose ball Tyres: Cheng Shin fat and skinny Headset: Tange MX2, Tange Locknut Bars: crap, HL-83 The bad; Rear alignment issue. According to Gripsport, the rear end was welded out of whack (not bent). Straightening it would mean breaking the original welds which I didn't want to do so just centred the rear wheel and left it at that. You can see for yourself in the picture. I have ridden it a few times but it's spent most of time hanging on the wall. I'm not desperate so no lowballers please.

  14. This is the second Mongoose Brawler 24 cruiser I have rebuilt. This one is a 2002. As you can see from the original image, these bikes were not pretty. After a few years left in the back of a garage they deteriorate and look even worse. But that's what makes bringing them back so much fun. There are some good things about these bikes. They were a full Cr-Mo frame and fork. Good quality Alex Rims and high flange hubs and Tektro brakes. Some of new shiny parts are: • New Ame Grips • New Stainless Steel Spokes • New Blue Kenda Gumwall Tyres • New Blue old-school Style MX seat • New Custom Black on Chrome Decal Set (based on the 86 decals) I stripped, polished and repainted the cranks inlaying blue into the logo stamping. Stripped and brush finished the Head Clamp and compression nut. Refurbed the brake levers. Candy blue painted the chainwheel (couldn't get it 100%) and refurbed the pedals. I added and refurbed some new school GT bars to give it a 20" BMX stance. A hell of a lot of work, but the final result is awesome and worth the effort. All that was left to do was show it to the camera. Too easy. This is how I like to rebuild. This one has now been sold to a local Sydney dad so he can ride with his kids. Doesn't get better than that.
  15. Few things to go.. DD Preferred , Pay pal ok but you pay the fees. Dibs Then PM for details. If you feel I’m off on prices I’m open to offers via pm. Ok 1st on the chopping block.... Kuwahara 24" Cruiser. Would really like to be able to sell complete but if there is no intrest may consider parting out. Parts list as follows. Powdered Black F/F No cracks, dents, re-welds etc. Seat: Elina L/B Wheels: Araya 24" With L/F Suze hubs, Spin Nice and Straight but could do with a grease & Repack Tyres: Comp 3 Rainbows. ( Rears sidewalls is fraying in spots) Stem : Suntour Nos Before fitted. Bars: Nitto Cruiser bars. Seat Clamp : Suntour. Grips: Tange. Cranks: Tagaki MX With Sugino Chain Ring and Sugino Power Disc. Brakes: DC Leaver / Copy Caliper. Looking For $1600 + Post.... Red Suntour Pedals.9/16 Nos bodies and cages. Nice used Suntour stamped cage screws. The Ano on the cages does appear slightly faded but otherwise not a mark on them. $240 Posted. Black Suntour Pedals.9/16 Bought these off here a fair while back, These are a bit of an unfinished project and still need a bit of TLC to finish them off. Cages appear NOS but on one side of one of the cages the mounting holes where drilled incorrectly. but once screws are in they dont look too bad. Unfortunatly no screws for them though sorry. $140 posted. Araya 48s with Joytech hubs Both spin smooth and straight the rear has a few bumps but overall a nice set of wheeels. $200 Posted. Thanks For Looking..
  16. This Mongoose Brawler 24 from 2000 started life as an ugly beast. Originally rolling out of the bike shop with an inspiring (tongue in cheek) gloss gunmetal grey frame, forks and low cruiser bars. Some of the old school vibe however was not lost, the black shiny side anodised rims were laced to high flange polished alloy hubs. Many other parts were hidden under a layer of black paint. To bring some life back into my 2000 Mongoose Brawler 24 BMX, I decided to change the colour scheme to white and chrome with white wall tyres. I also wanted to make the bike more rideable for the bigger, older guys, like me. Removing the low cruiser bars and replacing them with higher rise S&M bars has completely changed the stance of the ride. I have polished a few alloy parts recently and wanted to try a new technique for the faded and dull seat clamp and head clamp. Both were stripped and given a silver brushed alloy look, not a perfect match to the hubs but they look great. The locking nut on the head clamp was sanded back and sprayed with clear coat. The ugly corrugated steel chainring was replaced with a slightly newer 2003 Mongoose Motivator chainring in black and white. The entire bike has been given a new custom decal set in black and chrome. I didn't measure the head tube properly and a reprint on that sticker is needed. The grey AME grips and grey soft touch velour seat are a nod to the Brawler 24's original colour. As soon as this one is finished I'll photograph it and get the pics up here and on my Refound Rides bike blog. Thanks for reading. Original Refound Rides blog post
  17. Tange 24 (Schauff ) ukai/sunshine sealed/rainbow labels etc. bit of a colour mishmash but it`l do for now. maybe gold stem and chainwheel later for something different. dodgy pics for now.
  18. Retro is on now. So are sprockets, mini wheelers. http://www.bmxaustralia.com.au/en-us/eventsresults/2014subarunationalchampionships/livestreaming.aspx
  19. Hello everybody, I'm an old school tinker. Having over five trades behind me, I spend plenty of time in the workshop. Currently restoring our home leaves little time for my vintage and classic car projects, so I have been honing my welding skills on bikes. First was a 20" tandem BMX build. A three seater 24" tandem is now nearly done as well. Then I found a dragster frame just like I had as a youngster. Not being able to afford a BMX back then, the dragster was built into a BMX of sorts, complete with 3 speed hub... Now I have bought an 80's Yellow Devil and Reliance Thrasher for restoration. A real BMX at last! Other bikes include a chopper project, Avanti MTB and 2 beach cruisers. There's also an aluminium alloy framed Apollo being customised for a young neighbour who has outgrown his 16". I'm putting short cranks and rear pedal brake on that for now. This forum is a great resource and I look forward to conversing with you. Cheers Courtenay
  20. Scored this of the bay a while back from Adelaide , all OG except the tyres. OA bath but I think the chrome is shot. a bit wrinkly in places. would like to leave it survivor if it cleans up ok. stoked about the pad set these are rare as. and just thought Id throw in my mates barn find model A ford from Victoria , currently on it`s way to QLD.
  21. Hey everyone, I picked this up today from someone doing a pre christmas clean up. Its a Gemini Galaxy. I dont know anything about these but I have been after a cheap cruiser for a while so I am stoked. The Serial is E4C03056 which means nothing to me. The cranks are Sugino 82 and the forks are stamped Akisu but no date. The rims are really clean Araya 26's. This was a local Canberra bike and has almost no surface rust. Its in amazing condition. Has anybody come across Gemini bikes before?
  22. Got it for $50 on Gumtree to fix up. Couldn't look past the ape hangers - love 'em. I know it's Olympic brand but can anyone tell me a bit more about this type of frame?
  23. Hey guys, loved the other frame comparison thread so thought I'd start my own L to R 1982 JMC Cruiser, 1982 GT Cruiser, 1983 GT Cruiser. Interesting to see the differences between the two GT's, and how short is that JMC rear end! more pics here:
  24. Just found this pic on the net. Can anyone ID it with any more information?
  25. Rowl 42 gave me a starter cruiser F&F some time ago. Fanx brah! This is it's finished state. Cheers for checking it out.
